In February 2007, Esterel Technologies joined the MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Alliance) as an adopter member. The common objective of MIPI members is to simplify the design and implementation of hardware and software by driving consistency in processor and peripheral interfaces, promoting reuse and compatibility in mobile devices. Ultimately, the MIPI Alliance will help enable the mobile industry to introduce more sophisticated devices at an accelerated rate.

In April 2006, Esterel Technologies joined The SPIRIT Consortium as a reviewing member to access the IP-XACT specification and upgrade its Esterel Studio product to support the new specifications for improved multi-vendor IP design and tool flow integration. Esterel Studio generates IP-XACT enabled meta-data so that the SystemC, VHDL and Verilog generated from Esterel Studio can now be packaged with an IP exchange format for easy import into other IP-XACT enabled ESL and RTL level tools.

Esterel Technologies founded the Esterel Consortium which gathers users and  partners who promote and enhance the use of Esterel for the semiconductor and telecom industries and share together their experiences and results.

Esterel Technologies is part of the excellence network pôle de compétitivité SCS related to Secured Communicating Objects, and part of the CIM-PACA project for collaborative research platform for new design techniques, languages and tools.
